the only dark in the light of day, it calls.
It calls;
it beckons those souls,
too weary to remain in this world;
too tired to fight the war of living.
From the fair to the foulest, it calls them all.
Now dark the cloak of nightfall comes.

She's ComingShe's Coming

The first frost in the morning,
lingering til noon.
For the first time in many months,
going to bed requires more
than just a simple sheet to cover the body.
Early warning systems of what is to come.
Long sleeves, pants, thick coats during the day,
blankets during the night,
fighting to survive to see tomorrow.
First light snowfall of the year,
disappearing with the kiss of the noon sun.
Signs signaling she arrives soon.
More layers added to bed and body,
temperatures dropping to unimaginable numbers;
snow sticking to the ground,
becoming ice in selected areas.

Black Friday Black Friday

The most pointless day of the year
where obsession takes over.
Waiting until midnight,
Camping outside of name brand store,
braving freezing temperatures
all for the chance to be the first
person to get to that great deal in that one store.
Not caring that they trample people to the ground;
not caring who gets hurt,
they're eyes on the prize they waited many hours for.
An extraordinary amount of money wasted
on a superfluous amount of objects
which will be tossed aside after one week
or never touched at all.

I see it all from where I am.
The sky the trees, the grass and streams;
I see the people with their children,
playing on the ground with the animals.
I see myself
in the eyes of my brothers, sisters, cousins:
my family both near and distant.
I look at them and watch them
as they change from one once green, healthy leaves
to brown lifeless beings falling slowly across many distances,
returning to the place from where we all originate.
Now the harsh cold wind has come;
my time has come.
Separated from my life force,
I steadily fall as the harsh cold wind
carries me to my final resting place.

Hey Deviant Community!

It's been forever since I've been on, and well, there has been a lot of things happening in my life and it's put me in a damper so I really haven't been in the mood to check out this website in a while. I promise to get better than I have been.

If y'all want to know, I've been a little busy with my brother's upcoming wedding (it's less than a month til that) and I have been in a damper because of my job situation. My job was cutting staff due to budgeting and so I am currently jobless and have had several interviews but no freaking luck. Still not sure what I'm doing wrong in the interviews. I know one of my faults has been I'm tense and nervous, but I've been working on that a lot. Why do I have a feeling they're lying to me when I ask them if my brother's wedding will be an issue and they say it won't be? Only one person told me it was because the weekend he's getting married is a big weekend for the movie theater, apparently and he couldn't have me take 3 days off.

Funny story, one of the people who interviewed me knew my brother from high school. Small world huh?

Well, got some calls to make tomorrow as well as filling out some applications (one of which I'll have applied for again. Not hopeful I'll be interviewed. Pretty sure I'll get the rejection w/o an interview letter AGAIN! But oh well.)

Thor and Captain America are a tie. Black Widow and Iron Man are a tie for next, along with Hawkeye. Bruce. I like him, but I've never been a huge fan of the hulk.

Wait, do you also want to include non avengers movie characters? Ie Ghost Rider and Fantastic 4?
